Finally, after several months, I've managed to accomplish the Art Trade I had pending with ~AmandaDaHamster. For God's sake, I've never been such a procrastinator, but with this trade I've shown I did the role very well.

Her trademark hamster character drawn under my new, chibified hamster style (Hammu), discarding the old Ritsuko Kawaii's Hamtaro style (Ham-Ham) I used to draw years ago. I found out I had to change styles, create a new one of my own that identified my real style and the way to draw things: that was the reason it leaded me to draw hamsters under a more chibified style, and Amanda's character was the first on experimenting that change of style I meant.

On the other hand, I have to say I'm quite proud with the result of this first attempt on Manga style pictures. This picture have passed through three attempts and sketches until it came up with the final result, and IMO this style looks very fitting for the character style. Perhaps I may try out doing more black and white pictures under this format in the future...

OMG........ This... is ... WONDERFUL!

I've had a really rough couple of days and seeing this finally finished brightened it right up. ^___^ Thank you so much! Yeah, it was well worth the wait though.

It still looks a bit like Hamtaro style, but it looks... like real manga, like it came straight out of a manga page..... I love how you did that effect. :D And of course, the new style is so CUTE!

I'm really glad you liked the picture. ^^ I really apologize for such a long trade, but I'm glad to know it was worth the await. :3

Thank you so much for the comment about the new style. I think it's much more unique, more chibified, and cuter than the old Hamtaro-esque one I used to draw, but after so many sketches it finally came up that way. X3

All done with Photoshop. Just you have to create or look for the screentones (referring the Manga-ish gray scale tones) and use the brush tool as a pattern stamp and that's how it turned out, yep. There are other specialized programs for Manga pictures and comics, but with Photoshop it's also OK.
